Oldest inhabited castle in the world

Dating from the eleventh century, the castle is both the largest and the oldest inhabited castle in the world. St. George's Chapel, the burial place of several English monarchs is a superb example of gothic architecture. Attractions in the area include Eton, with its famous boys' school, which lies across the Thames from Windsor and is connected to it via a footbridge.
